Accessibility Statement

Tax & Accounting Pros wants anyone with a tax or bookkeeping question to be able to read this site and reach a licensed professional, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

Tax & Accounting Pros, Inc is a virtual bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation and IRS audit representation firm led by Marc Schiller, MBA, EA. The whole point of the firm is a direct line to a licensed professional, and that only works if everyone can find the phone number, understand the services and send a request, with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or a phone.

Accessibility is treated as ongoing work, and this website is reviewed whenever its content or design changes.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements that help make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. This website is designed and built with the intent to conform to WCAG 2.2 at Level AA.

It has been reviewed by the people who built it, using automated checks and manual testing with a keyboard and at screen sizes from 320 pixels wide upward. It has not yet been audited by an independent third party, so it is described as intended to conform rather than fully conformant.

What has been done

  • Text and interface colors meet at least 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text, form fields and controls.
  • A logical heading structure, page landmarks and a “Skip to main content” link on every page.
  • Every link, button, question and form field works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus outline. The menu closes with the Escape key.
  • The frequently asked questions announce whether they are open or closed.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked in text, and errors are described in words next to the field they belong to.
  • Spanish phrases are marked as Spanish, so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
  • Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Controls are sized for touch, and the layout reflows to a single column down to 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
  • No audio or video plays on its own. Smooth scrolling, scroll-linked movement and entrance animations switch off when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

On large screens, the “What we do” section moves sideways as you scroll down the page. Every card in it can also be reached with the Tab key, and turning on your device’s reduced-motion setting shows the same cards as a still grid.

No other barriers are known to remain. If you run into one, please get in touch using the details below and you’ll get the information another way.
